How much does Website Renting cost?
A bespoke proposal, with scope and price fixed before we start. There is a start-up fee, a reduced one, and the monthly fee includes the bespoke design, managed hosting, the domain, the security certificate, maintenance and the content changes covered by the plan. The exact amount depends on the number of pages and features, and is set in the proposal after the diagnosis.
What is the difference between Website Renting and Website Maintenance?
With renting the infrastructure is ours and we answer for it; with maintenance the hosting stays under your management and we look after the website. Renting is for those who want a new site without a large upfront investment; maintenance applies to a site that already exists, whether we built it or another company did.
Do I own the site at the end of the contract?
You can buy the site whenever you want, at a price set in the contract from the start. The domain is registered in your name from day one — it is never held in the Shiftworks name. There are no surprises at the end: the purchase price is written down before we begin.
Why is there a 24-month minimum term?
Because it is what makes a bespoke site possible without a large upfront investment. The cost of designing and building is spread across the monthly fee instead of being charged at the start; 24 months is the term that makes those numbers work and stabilises the cost for both sides.
What happens if I want to leave before the 24 months are up?
You can buy the site at the price set in the contract and keep it. The early-exit terms are presented before signing, so the decision is made with everything in view — never decided at the moment a client wants to leave.
How many changes can I request each month?
Small content changes are included every month, at the volume set by your plan. Swapping text, updating prices, publishing a news item or replacing images is routine work and is not quoted separately. New features and additional pages are quoted separately.
